First Announcement of the International Workshop on
Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering 2025

 

 

1. Introduction to the Workshop

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the International Workshop on Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering (IWNAOE2025), will be held at Hohai University in Nanjing, China, from the 27th to the 29th of April 2025.

The organizing committee is particularly pleased to announce that many world renowned experts and scholars from home and abroad have accepted invitation to attend the workshop and deliver keynote speeches, sharing the latest research progress and development trend in the field of ship and ocean engineering. The academic researchers, industry leaders and attendees will have in-depth discussions on diversified topics such as technological breakthrough and innovation, sustainable development practice, global Marine economy trend, and net zero carbon emission maritime, and bring enlightening professional insights and cutting-edge perspectives to the participants.

Prof. Atilla Incecik A professor at the University of Strathclyde, UK, recipient of the William Froude Medal from the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, and Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of Ocean Engineering.
Prof. Carlos Guedes Soares An Academician of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Society of Naval and Marine Engineering, recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award from the European Association of Marine Technology.
Prof. Takeshi Kinoshita President of the Nagasaki Institute of Applied Science and Vice President of the Nagasaki Marine Industry Cluster Promotion Association, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, and a leading expert in the field of ocean engineering.
Prof. Xiaobo Chen Director of the International R&D Division at Bureau Veritas and a world-renowned expert in ocean engineering hydrodynamics.
Prof. Gang Chen Senior Expert at the 708 Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), former Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Dean of the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Civil Engineering, as well as former Deputy Director of the 708 Research Institute of CSSC.
Prof. Shijun Liao Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Ocean Engineering, and recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
Prof. A-Man Zhang Professor at Harbin Engineering University and leader of the National Huang Danian-style Teaching Team.
